JBE Tailgate Picnics
We’re excited to invite families to join us for a Jimmy Brown Elementary Tailgate Picnic during your child’s grade-level lunch! Each picnic will be held on the JBE lawn by our pavilion, where students and guests can enjoy a special 30-minute lunch together.
Lunch Options: Students may bring their own lunch or have an outside lunch brought in by a parent/guardian. Guests should plan to bring their own meal. Don’t forget a blanket or lawn chair for your family picnic spot!
Check-In: All guests must check in together at the sign-in table located under the 3–5 awning before entering the picnic area.
Friendly Reminder: This event is for registered JBE students and their guests only. For safety and space reasons, we kindly ask that siblings not attend. Thank you for understanding as we work to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and meaningful time for each child.

Our students will be walking to the Lincoln County Fair on October 16 and 17 to explore and enjoy the exhibits! Please make sure your child wears comfortable, closed-toe shoes suitable for walking. We can’t wait for this fun fall outing!
Kindergarten students will soon enjoy a fun-filled trip to the pumpkin patch, generously sponsored by the SCHS JAG program! More details, including dates and trip information, will be shared soon by your child’s kindergarten teacher.
Students in grades 3–5 will participate in ATLAS interim assessments from October 21–24. These tests help teachers understand each student’s progress and growth in key academic areas, guiding instruction and support throughout the year. To help your child have their best testing experience, please ensure they arrive on time, get a good night’s sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast each morning of testing. While these assessments are an important part of learning, we know every student shows their strengths in many ways, and ATLAS is just one of the tools we use to celebrate their growth!
We were excited to share our new standards based report card with our K-2 families this week! If you have questions, please use the form linked to let us know!
