Students and guests will enjoy a thirty-minute picnic on the lawn area of JBE next to our new pavilion provided by our PTO. Students can bring their lunch or have an outside lunch brought in by a parent/guardian. Guests must bring their own lunch. Please make sure to bring a blanket/lawn chair to sit on for your family picnic!

Guests must check in and enter through the sign in table set up under the 3-5 awning. Please plan for all guests to arrive and check in together.

A friendly reminder that this event is for registered students only. Due to space limitations and for efficient supervision, we kindly ask that siblings are not brought to the picnic.

We understand this might be disappointing for some families.  However, this allows us to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attending students as well as one-on-one time with your school-age child.

JBE Fair Visits

JBE students will have to opportunity to visit the Lincoln County fair on October 10th and 11th. Students will walk to the fairgrounds with their classes. While there, students will tour the displays where they will see their own artwork displayed.

Students will also tour the barns and see many different animals including cows, goats, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheeps! Some of the animals are exhibited by our own JBE students. Our students always enjoy this visit and we appreciate the fair board making this visit possible each year.

Attendance Matters

• Starting in preschool and kindergarten, too many absences can cause children to fall behind in school.

• Missing 10%, or about 2 days each month over the course of a school year, can make it harder to learn to read.

• Students can still fall behind if they miss just one or two days every few weeks.

• Being late to school may lead to poor attendance.

• Absences and tardiness can affect the whole classroom if the teacher has to slow down learning to help children catch up.

Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school—and themselves. Start building this habit in preschool so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important. Eventually good attendance will be a skill that will help them succeed in high school and college.

Red Ribbon Week Oct 28-Nov 1st

Red Ribbon Week is an annual event held in October to promote drug awareness and prevention among youth. Originating in 1985, the week encourages students and communities to unite against substance abuse. Through various activities, educational programs, and the symbolic wearing of red ribbons, participants reinforce the message of healthy, drug-free living while honoring those affected by addiction. One way that JBE celebrates Red Ribbon Week is by dressing up each day. Please keep in mind the JBE dress code when choosing attire for the week.

Monday 10/28 - Rally in Red Against Drugs! Wear Red.

Tuesday 10/29- I’m Drug Free from Head to toe. Wear crazy hair and/or crazy socks.

Wednesday 10/30- Drugs are tacky. Dress up as a tacky tourist.

Thursday 10/31- Don’t Let Drugs Steal Your Dreams. Wear Pajamas!!!!

Friday 11/1- Show You’re Proud to be a Bulldog and Drug Free! Wear Bulldog Attire.

Halloween

JBE Students will celebrate Halloween with a small 30 minute activity in their classroom. Students are not allowed to wear costumes to school; while parents are not invited to our Halloween celebrations, we encourage you to attend the family picnics this month.
